About Us

The mission of the Accessible Prosthetics Initiative (API) is to increase access to prostheses. We do this through three main facets: education, networking, and development of accessible devices.

Education

Amputees: We want to educate amputees about different technologies and clinical practices available to them in a digestible way. We want to help amputees understand these technologies and their best uses so they can decide what devices/procedures best suit their needs.


Professionals: We want to help current and future professionals interested in accessible prosthetic technologies learn how to incorporate accessible manufacturing practices, such as 3D printing, into their practices.
